This is XF-103 version 3.
I'm currently building the next model after the XF10F, but for a change of pace, I'm flirting with the XF-103.
Version 2 of my XF-103 was released two years ago, but I didn't like the proportions of the fuselage and wanted to do it again someday.
The fuselage of the XF-103 looks like a single engine and has a simple design with one air intake.
However, when I actually try modeling, there are few photographic materials, and most of the modeling is based on imagination.
Version 2 has a simple modification to the silhouette around the exhaust tube at the rear of the fuselage.
But I wasn't satisfied with that.
This is because versions 1 and 2 were mostly modeled by looking at wind tunnel models.
Now that I think about it, it was a mistake.
I should have taken a closer look at the three mock-up photos, even though I didn't have much documentation.
This version 3 is modeled by looking only at mockup photos.
The curved line at the top of the torso is nice.
I think the nose is pointing slightly upwards.
This cannot be done with a wind tunnel model.
However, we don't know when this XF-103 version 3 will be completed! ! I might just end up satisfied.
